Last year’s drought has given way to lots of rain and green, green grass. The pasture still has a long way to go to recover fully, though. This year we didn’t allow the goats to go out and eat the pasture until it was 4-6 inches tall. They were tired of hay and very excited to get out there!
As you can see, goats have never met a fence that they wouldn’t stick their heads through. Grass is always greener on the other side.
The lettuces and greens in the high tunnel are getting big, too — look for those at the farmers market this week.
