Season’s end – and the holiday farmers market

Category: About the farm, Farmers Market |

Bitter cold has put an end to the growing season for vegetables at Red Tractor, but we have plenty to keep us busy. There are goats to keep warm and chickens to look after — especially the ones that like to fly over the fence to find something tasty on the other side. In January, a new batch of chicks will arrive, and there is an endless list of projects to complete around the farm.

We want to thank you for buying produce, meat, eggs and other products from Red Tractor this year. We look forward to seeing everyone each week at the Farmers Market throughout the growing season, and in winter whenever we can attend an indoor market. The next time to come see us is at the Holiday Farmers Market, Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Lawrence Holiday Inn. It runs all day from 9-5. We’ll have Red Tractor t-shirts so you can show your Red Tractor pride! We’ll also have goat meat, eggs, pear butter, sweet potatoes, garlic and a few greens and radishes while they last.

Below is the video we’ve mentioned before that tells the Red Tractor story. Thank you for supporting our farm!
